abdominal migraine syndrome

Internal Medicine

Abdominal migraine syndrome is a rare type of headache disorder. There is often a family history of migraine. The etiology is unclear; approximately 50% of patients have a family history. In female patients, migraine tendency occurs before menstruation and decreases after pregnancy, suggesting that the onset may be related to endocrine factors or water retention.
