Poisoning can result from accidental ingestion of kerosene or gasoline, or inhalation of high concentrations of kerosene or gasoline vapors. Poisoned patients immediately experience thirst and a burning sensation in the throat and stomach; subsequently, severe symptoms such as nausea, vomiting (vomitus may contain blood), abdominal pain, diarrhea, blood in the stool, and painful urination may occur. Emergency measures should be taken immediately. This disease can also cause serious complications and should be detected and treated early.
