Aortic dissection refers to a condition in which, due to local tearing of the intima, under the impact of strong blood flow, the intima is gradually dissected and extended, forming true and false lumens within the artery. This leads to a series of manifestations including tearing pain. The aorta is the main vessel of the body, bearing direct pressure from the heartbeat with enormous blood flow. If intimal tearing occurs and appropriate and timely treatment is not provided, the chance of rupture is very high, and the mortality rate is also very high.
