Preexcitation syndrome is the presence of an accessory pathway outside the normal atrioventricular conduction system, connecting the atria and ventricular myocardium. Most patients do not have organic heart disease, and some patients have a familial tendency. Generally, no special treatment is required because it is not an organic heart disease. Preexcitation is an abnormal phenomenon of atrioventricular conduction in which impulses are conducted down the accessory pathway, prematurely exciting part or all of the ventricles, causing part of the ventricular myocardium to be activated early, which is called "preexcitation." When combined with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia, it is called preexcitation syndrome. Preexcitation is a relatively rare arrhythmia, and the diagnosis mainly relies on electrocardiography.
