Alagille syndrome, also known as congenital intrahepatic bile duct hypoplasia syndrome, arteriohepatic dysplasia syndrome, or Watson-Alagille syndrome. Congenital intrahepatic bile duct hypoplasia is characterized by marked hepatomegaly; microscopically, most portal tracts lack bile ducts, and occasionally hypoplastic bile ducts are seen, mostly without obvious lumens, accompanied by obvious cholestasis and mild portal tract fibrosis; interstitial fibrosis may be seen in the testes.
