intrahepatic calcification focus

Internal Medicine

Intrahepatic calcification foci are "scars" formed after inflammation of hepatic parenchymal cells, generally of no major concern. Some patients may experience a feeling of fullness or discomfort in the liver area, similar to patients with intrahepatic bile duct stones. If confirmed, treatment is generally not required. Calcification points in the liver may be partial calcification of the intrahepatic bile duct wall.
