pyrazolone poisoning

Internal Medicine

Pyrazolones include aminopyrine, antipyrine, metamizole, phenylbutazone, oxyphenbutazone, and others. Poisoning with these drugs is mostly caused by accidental overdose or long-term use of large doses; a small number of patients may develop severe toxic reactions even with therapeutic doses.
