Myocardial infarction

Internal Medicine / Surgery / 医学影像科

Myocardial infarction, also known as heart attack, refers to myocardial necrosis caused by acute, persistent ischemia and hypoxia. Myocardial infarction is ischemic necrosis of the myocardium, which occurs on the basis of coronary artery disease, where coronary blood flow is sharply reduced or interrupted, causing severe and prolonged acute ischemia in the corresponding myocardium, ultimately leading to ischemic necrosis of the myocardium. Myocardial infarction is occlusion of the coronary arteries with interruption of blood flow, resulting in local necrosis of part of the myocardium due to severe persistent ischemia. Clinically, there is severe and relatively persistent retrosternal pain, fever, leukocytosis, accelerated erythrocyte sedimentation rate, increased serum myocardial enzyme activity, and progressive electrocardiographic changes, which may be complicated by arrhythmias, shock, or heart failure.
