Gastric tumor

Internal Medicine / Surgery / Traditional Chinese Medicine / Oncology

Gastric tumors Rarely cause symptoms; symptoms may only appear when the tumor grows large enough to cause complications or undergoes malignant transformation, so they are easily overlooked. Common complications include benign tumors near the cardia, which can cause dysphagia; benign tumors in the pyloric region can cause pyloric obstruction or phenomena of pyloric obstruction, or pedunculated adenomas can slip into the pyloric canal and duodenum, mostly resolving spontaneously, but a few may develop congestion, edema, or even intussusception, necrosis, and perforation leading to peritonitis. If the tumor surface has ulcers, gastric discomfort, pain, or even bleeding may occur. Leiomyomas and neurofibromas can cause acute massive hemorrhage.
