Pulmonary heart disease (referred to as cor pulmonale) is primarily heart disease caused by pulmonary hypertension resulting from bronchial-pulmonary tissue or pulmonary artery vascular lesions. Based on the onset acuity and duration of the disease, it can be divided into acute and chronic types. The latter is more commonly seen clinically. The disease progresses slowly; clinically, in addition to the various symptoms and signs of the original pulmonary and thoracic diseases, the main manifestations are the gradual appearance of pulmonary and cardiac failure, as well as signs of damage to other organs.
