Nodular panniculitis (NP), also known as Weber-Christian disease or relapsing febrile nodular non-suppurative panniculitis, is a disease characterized by recurrent inflammatory nodules or plaques in the subcutaneous fat layer, accompanied by systemic symptoms such as fever. The clinical manifestations are diverse. NP can occur at any age, but is more common in women aged 30-50 years, with a female-to-male ratio of approximately 2.5:1. It is not easily recognized and often leads to misdiagnosis.
