Internal Medicine / Surgery / Traditional Chinese Medicine
Anemia due to liver disease refers to anemia complications occurring during the course of liver disease, commonly seen in most patients with chronic liver disease. Epidemiology: According to statistics from Peking Union Medical College Hospital, anemia caused by hypersplenism in severe hepatitis accounts for 22% of all hospitalized patients with concurrent anemia. There are few domestic reports on the proportion of anemia in patients with chronic liver disease. Two foreign reports indicate that 20%–75% of patients with chronic liver disease have concurrent anemia.
