Intracranial hypotension headache
Internal Medicine / Traditional Chinese Medicine
Intracranial hypotensive headache refers to headache caused by cerebrospinal fluid fistula following trauma or lumbar puncture, in which cerebrospinal fluid continues to leak excessively from the puncture site into the extradural space, leading to decreased intraspinal pressure and downward traction of pain-sensitive tissues in the posterior fossa. Headache after lumbar puncture is relatively common.
