Ventricular septal membranous aneurysm has two types: true (congenital) and false (acquired). True membranous aneurysm, also known as membranous septal bulging, is a congenital malformation in which the membranous portion of the interventricular septum protrudes like a pouch into the right cardiac chamber. False membranous aneurysm, also known as tricuspid valve aneurysm or tricuspid valve bulging, is a phenomenon of the natural outcome of ventricular septal membranous defect.
